25/10/17 Visit to the Sand Film Studio and Filming in stop frame

Today we had a very fun visit to the Sand Film studio, where we got to see how the whole film production prosess works. It's amazing how they do literally everything in that building, from sewing all the costumes to crafting marks and build miniatures of buildings tu use in their movies, that will be shot there.

I was really impressed when Mr. Brown showed us the puppets and the set for some stop frame movies they did. It was of a crazy good quality and very well projected, so that the clothes of the characters, the leaves of the trees woud move and so on.
The quality was really good and our hosts were very peculiar and friendly.
(I wish I could either work or live there).

Here some stuctures and buildings they used in their sets:

Afterwards we saw a short movie made from them in stop frame animation, and then we went with our groups to film outside our own.

We basically had to make our three characters to interact with each other and with the environment. So we decided to  create a small scene where Kurai (James's character) is selling drugs to Geronimo (my character) and when they are walking away they meet Edd (Liam's character) collecting rocks, and they rob him.

We made a couple of trials, and even though it's not too long I am quite happy with it.

Ciao,
Eleonora
