It's filming time!
With the whole group we went again to the animation studio. My mates filmed the initial scene while I was at work, and it was amazing.
Then we filmed scene 2 and 3 together. I was filming the second scene and it took me around 3 hours (I am a bit of a perfectionist) and I loved it so much! I mean, it’s really hard work and it requires a lot of patience, but i has been so rewarding even during the process of filming.
Here a few snapshots from the film and realization.
We used a cardboard box where we could put different layers of transparent paper, and underneath we put our phone with the torch function activated, to simulate the sunlight.
We used just one of the lateral lights in the studios, we wanted it to be quite dark, so that the light and shades would be more detailed.
We covered that light with some coloured paper, depending on the scene and on what atmosphere we wanted it to have.
Originally we filmed two scenes of the Earth, but we reviewed our animation and we had to cut the first, as it was pointless for our animation.
We left the scene with the spacecraft coming to Earth as it makes the animation more easy to follow.
(We changed the colour of the spacecraft from scene to scene just to match the contrast with the background (: ).
Bye,
Eleonora
