Dragon -Final Animation!
Heyy,
I finally finished animating!
The first version I made is the dragon Geronimo flying in the night sky full of stars.
Then I made another version with different lighting and a textured scenery, and this is the final version.
I simulated the movement of a dragon flying (trying to use some references and imagination), and moved his head and mouth around.
ANIMATION PRINCIPLES (No need to mention Appeal, of course ;-) )
Staging - I set a simple camera that from an upper point moves smoothly down, keeping the target on the dragon and showing an appealing point of view.
Arcs - The dragon's body rotates forming arcs and his head too.
Secondary action - The eyes blinking and the mouth opening are secondary movements to the main action which is flying.
Anticipation - Before the dragon opens his mouth and roars, he closes his eyes and brings his head down, this adds more credibility to the action.
I really have fun doing all the process, and got really angry at times, and overwhelmed.
But mainly I had fun, and want to experiment more with the program and see how can I improve my skills :)
Ciao, see you next year!
Eleonora
